I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
