A court in Paris has ruled against ten people for carrying out the digital intimidation of Brigitte Macron, the partner of French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The those on trial faced accusations of spreading fabrications regarding her gender identity and sexual orientation, in addition to making malicious remarks about the pair's age disparity of 24 years.
The court issued suspended prison sentences of as much as eight months to the convicted individuals. The detailed judgment has still to be made public.

This recent ruling in France is concurrent with the Macrons engaging in a libel case in the United States against political commentator Candace Owens, who has likewise promoted similar conspiracy theories about the Brigitte Macron's identity.
Their legal filing states that Owens brushed aside substantial counter-evidence contradicting her allegations in favour of platforming known conspiracy theorists.
Owens has frequently reiterated these claims on her show and online platforms, and in March 2024 stated that she would bet her whole career on her belief that Mrs. Macron is biologically male.
Brigitte Macron initially encountered her future husband when she worked as an educator at his secondary school.
The couple tied the knot in 2007, when the then-29-year-old Emmanuel Macron was 29 and she was approximately 54 years old.
